Jason Fortier, GISP
Mr. Fortier has more than 7 years of Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) and Imagery experience. He has successfully
supported engineering and environmental specialists with GIS, Imagery & GPS
needs. Tasks have included remote sensing, data conversion and management,
map production, 3D modeling, spatial analysis and web based GIS development.
His skills have supported a variety of projects: including environmental
risk assessment, UXO and unexploded ordinance mapping, resource field
surveys, subsurface electrical and water utility systems, well sampling
monitoring, and cadastral mapping.
Mr. Fortier currently participates in the USAF GeoBase Program as the Geospatial Integration Office (GIO) for the Air Force Real Property Agency (AFRPA) where he provides QA/QC support, SDSFIE data compliance and manages the GeoBase Program Sustainment, Implementation, and Strategic Plans for the Agency. He is a member of the GeoBase Data Standards Work Group, and a voting member of the Air Force Installation Mapping and Visualization Council.
Jason is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography with a focus in urban and regional systems and a minor in City & Regional Planning.
