Eric O'Brien
Mr. O’Brien is a Geographic Information System (GIS) developer, and has more than 27 years of engineering, spatial data, and project management experience. He has successfully managed technical projects and task orders that have supported a wide array of Air Force engineering, infrastructure, communications, and environmental programs. These projects have included GIS development and standardization, R&D facility and equipment support, facilities and utility system construction / upgrade, and communications system maintenance. He has supervised contract inspectors and administrators, and completed technical responses for project proposals. He is also skilled at planar, construction and topographic surveying, GPS data collection, field calculations, and materials testing. Eric’s expertise includes: ArcGIS 9.x / 8.x, ArcView 3.x, Geodatabases, ArcInfo, GPS, Surveying, Access, Microstation, AutoCAD, SDSFIE, Data Conversion, Needs Assessment, Spatial Analyst, Visual Basic, Metadata, SQL, and various surveying instruments and field testing equipment.
Mr. O’Brien currently functions as the Air Force Real Property Agency (AFRPA) Geospatial Integration Officer (GIO) providing QA/QC support, SDSFIE data compliance, GeoBase Program Sustainment / Implementation, and Strategic Planning for AFRPA.
Mr. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems Management from Colorado Christian University, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
